Rejuvenated by the recruitment of Teloch (of NIDINGR fame) in replacement of iconic guitarist / composer Blasphemer who left the fold in 2008, the spearhead of Black Metal is back stronger than ever before with a new album. ‘Esoteric Warfare’ demonstrates how perfectly Teloch has captured the essence and spirit of the Norwegian legend by linking the band back to its roots, while at the same time taking a step forward into the leading position of the genre instead of dwelling in nostalgia. ‘Esoteric Warfare’ is a full-scale assault of total dark savagery, where Attila's inhumane vocals are entirely based on a concept dealing with the esoteric experimentations of the nuclear powers during the cold war.

Released officially for the first time in over a quarter of a century since the event, Live in Zeitz features the classic line-up of Euronymous, Dead, Necrobutcher and Hellhammer performing iconic tracks on their now-legendary 1990 tour.

Taken from a new and improved audio source, this definitive edition of Live in Zeitz presents the chaotic sound and dark atmosphere of the show with a greater level of clarity, while maintaining the rawness of Mayhem's live attack.

Pressed on 180g black vinyl, this is the first official release of recordings of the classic Mayhem line-up performing in Jessheim, Norway in 1990.

Live in Jessheim concludes Peaceville’s series of the legendary band's four recorded shows. Featuring the line-up of Euronymous, Dead, Hellhammer and Necrobutcher, this is one of only a handful of recordings featuring the Norwegian Black Metal quartet during arguably their most influential period, as they forged a truly unique sound (prior to going on to almost single-handedly inspire a whole scene).

This green vinyl edition of Live in Jessheim features audio taken from a new source. The release includes an 8 page booklet containing rare photos, extensive interviews with figures such as Snorre Ruch (Thorns, ex-Mayhem) and Maniac (ex-Mayhem), plus information on the events surrounding the show (which took place on 03/02/1990 and featured timeless Mayhem tracks, including Deathcrush, Funeral Fog and Freezing Moon).
 

Recording completely remixed and remastered from the original master tapes on golden 12" vinyl (33 rpm) in deluxe gatefold with gold Pantone print with double sided insert with the producer's liner notes.

In 2018, "Grand Declaration of War" MAYHEM’s second album (2000) has been completely remixed and remastered by Jaime Gomez Arellano in the Orgone Studios (UK). It offers a very new approach of this cult album.
He comments on the remaster: "It was a challenging remix to do, starting with the now obsolete format it was recorded in (ADAT). […] I ended up mastering the album to analogue tape to get a bit more warmth, depth and bottom end.

Mayhem need no introduction. The most notorious black metal band of all times is back! By the power of darkness and the might of black-hearted will no two Mayhem albums have been or will be the same. Thus, the newest offering “Daemon” is unto itself. It’s not the next chapter but rather the next tome in Mayhem’s authoritative oeuvre. Composed and decomposed with the same lineup—Necrobutcher (bass), Hellhammer (drums), Attila Csihar (vocals), Teloch (guitars), and Ghul (guitars)—that handled “Esoteric Warfare” and performed “De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas” in its entirety over the last few years, “Daemon” also isn’t a retrofit of classic songs like “Freezing Moon,” “Pagan Fears,” or “Buried by Time and Dust.” That’s what the live album, “De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas Alive” (2016), was for. “Daemon” is a chance for change, for new hells to be envisioned and offered.

‘Out from the Dark’ features a rare & ferocious rehearsal from the Mayhem archive which was recorded back in 1989 and is a chance to hear tracks from the quartet’s early years in all their raw and brutal glory, including classics such as ‘Freezing Moon’, ‘Funeral Fog’ & ‘Deathcrush’. The band would embark upon a serious of live shows in Norway and Germany the following year which would eventually go down in black metal legend, with those recordings also now immortalised.

Nevertheless, MAYHEM would not be MAYHEM, if this musical creation would do without own composed songs. In addition to named cover versions, a brand new track called “Voces Ab Alta” was recorded to continue the musical journey alongside previously released tracks “Black Glass Communion” and “Everlasting Dying Flame”, which were used as bonus tracks for the 2019 album “Daemon”. The EP comes as a 180g LP format which features a two-sided cover artwork and two-page insert, as well as a Ltd. CD Digipak with sleeve and 12-page booklet.

While the songs would eventually appear on ‘De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas’, 'Life Eternal’ reveals how MAYHEM’s first full-length album became a foundational pillar for black metal.
These five rough mixes were recorded with original guitarist Øystein “Euronymous” Aarseth. Attila Csihar toils with different vocal takes, especially on “Pagan Fears”, which somehow sounds even more wicked than the final version. And while it was ultimately left on the cutting room floor, the pummeling drum flurry that opens this cut of “Funeral Fog” is vintage Hellhammer.
