Simply titled but by no means simple in construction nor execution, Djinn builds upon the increasingly ambitious songwriting of its no-less-considerable predecessor, but pushes their dazzling artistry into nearly Technicolor landscapes of the Beyond. Upon the first opening notes, this boundless artistry is felt: big, rolling rhythms reminiscent of post-punk, tantalizingly setting the stage for the splendorous expanses to follow. There's a certain magick at play here, no doubt bolstered by the band's rhythm section of Josiah Babcock (who puts in his final performance here) and new bassist Nate Verschoor, erstwhile mainman of Veiled; this throttling-yet-deft foundation both leads and plays acute counterpoint to the spiraling, windswept riffing of founders Jake Superchi (also vocals) and James Sloan, their guitar work transcending the poignancy of prior works. And indeed, Djinn's generous six-song/hour-long runtime no doubt allows the listener the ultimate freedom to roam within Uada's ever-unique world, spanning both smothering speed and deliriously dream-like states, Very Metal urgency and textural exploration alike - put simply, the band at the height of their creative powers. Djiin is truly its own realm of experience.

"Djinn, first inhabitors of this world, the smokeless fire and those we call upon our enemies, has gifted us a 60-minute descent into the modern-day possessions of our existence and demise," state the band, "A duality that can only be known as our third wish."

'Render Unto Eden' is an altogether more somber record: here do Panzerfaust more fully work with light and shade, their darkness displaying far more hues than previously deemed imaginable. Whereas the five-song first chapter was taut 'n' terrorizing, The Suns of Perdition II likewise features five songs but in a more expansive 44-minute runtime. As such, massive vistas of molten melancholy unfold, the inexorable push-and-pull patient but persistent; layers upon layers of understanding are packed into each of these scintillating minutes. The violence is more carefully doled out, in kind, and the sum effect is nothing short of hypnotic. The Suns of Perdition II: Render Unto Eden echoes within the mind and spirit long after the record's over...

Produced and mixed by Greg Dawson at BWC Studios in Kingston, Ontario, Canada, the album was mastered by Sergei Lazar at CDM Records Studio in Moscow, Russia.

The track "Promethean Fire" features guest vocals from Maria Arkhipova of Russia's Arkona.

"Fluisteraars dimostrano infatti l’assai raro dono della sintesi e ci regalano poco più di mezz’ora di musica intensa, a tratti epica, a tratti sognante, che pure mantiene intatta la ferocia che dovrebbe essere propria del black metal. Trentatré minuti che scorrono davvero bene, complice un’attenzione per le melodie e una cura per i dettagli che non è mai manierismo e nulla toglie alla genuinità di un lavoro che fa centro anche a livello di produzione, che è sporca e lievemente lo-fi quel tanto da ‘scaldare’ le composizioni.
Il campo di papaveri in un cielo terso posto in copertina potrebbe far pensare all’ennesima ‘hipsterata’ furbetta, ma dentro c’è molto di più e di molto meglio, ascoltare per credere."

“Fensterverse und Nachtgespinste” is an experimental release by MOSAIC which mirrors Valkenstijn's wide-ranging taste in music. He cites EA80 and Einstürzende Neubauten as his most important influences, who on this record are cited and re-imagined in a most unique way.
Breathing an air of urbanity and contemporariness, all songs included on this record are musical interpretations of poems by Cologne-based writer Ulrike Serowy.

Serowy's poetry is infused with a rough romanticism which can only sprout on the threshold between reality and imagination, between this world and the world behind the veil.
Her language, both dreamy and compelling, invokes images of urban and non-urban landscapes which have found their aural inkarnations in Valkenstijn's unusual compostions.

Elegies of the Stellar Wind" marks the 5th full-length for Poland's epic one-man Black Metal outfit Evilfeast. On the successor to 2011`s lauded, 'Wintermoon Enchantment,' sole member GrimSpirit hasn`t changed much on the band`s majestic formula. Sprawling, epic keyboard arrangements paired with cold and harsh walls of guitars and dedicated vocals whispering of old times and solitarity. Unfolding its layers track by track, the album unlocks a dripping atmosphere. At times freezing in solitude, at others resolute melodic with choral pillars. Enhanced like never before, these elegies reach an almost monumental peak.

A 50-minute work broken into nine songs but unified as one winding, widescreen composition, Venenare shows KRATER at the height of their all-too-considerable powers, a blinding and windswept vortex of sumptuous songcraft and passionate execution. Motifs slice and dice, blast and race with a grace that's simply stunning, as melodic counterplay runs riot with a proud 'n' powerful assertion of classic metal sensibility. KRATER's contours here undeniably exude a sleek and urban quality, but with abstracted hints of their pagan past subtly woven in to the soundfield, the result is staunchly second-wave black metal bravely recast for the 21st century. Venenare is thus timeless, yet forward-thinking all the same.

Originally released in 2004, "The Grey EP" features tracks from "The Mantle" recording session, and was long out of print.
