The Norwegian Grammy nominated Vreid venture back to their roots on their 7th album titled “Sólverv”. Cold dissonance and feverish melodies embellish this opus. Inspired by the blood heritage of Hváll who, alongside his fellow band members, hails from the deep valleys of Sogndal in Norway; a place where his ancestors fought and died to preserve their precious land. “Sólverv” is an epic milestone for this tyrannical brigade.
Summit of the two German masters of instrumental post metal/post rock from North of Bavaria. The former SWITCHBLADE worshippers MOUNT LOGAN surprise with their turn towards weird Albini-esque noise rock deconstructions, occasionally even with vocals added. OMEGA MASSIF, as you would expect from them, once again create a dard, moody and opulent soundscape with heavy crushing guitars and irresistible killer grooves."
Following the path of their groundbreaking masterpiece "Screams from the gutter" (1984), RAW POWER's third delivery "After your brain" (1987) strengthens the band's well-oiled Hardcore intensity performed at unbeatable technical precision for the times spicing it up with additional influences, ranging from Metal to guitar driven HardRock, but never losing that speed and punk fueled rage that characterized their sound so greatly. Recorded in one of Italy's most credited studios of those years, "After you brain" was released with an uncomplete and rushed mix that left the band partially satisfied of the final result. 27 years later and for the first time ever, we re-transfered each channel from the master reels and remixed it scrupulously at Toxic Basement Studio under the band's direct supervision. This is how it was supposed to be back then and how Raw Power themselves always wished it to sound like. As the legendary frontman Mauro Codeluppi says: "We recorded everything without great difficulty, sleeping outside in Helder's camper to avoid having to pay extra taxes to the studio. I can't remember why, but in the end the record wasn't mixed properly and the result was a poorly done job. Today, after almost 30 years, with the help of F.O.A.D. Records and the actual members of Raw Power, "After your brain" is reborn for the second time... Completely dissected and reassembled you can listen to it how it should have been, rediscovering details that have been hidden, up to today." As all the other RAW POWER reissues on F.O.A.D. (this is the 4th of the series after "Birth", "You are the victim" and "Screams from the gutter") this comes in a deluxe digipack sleeve with 8 page booklet including lyrics, rare photos and liner notes. Re-descover this timeless Italian Hardcore masterpiece in its best sounding version ever!
Russian black metal.
BLUUURGH was one of the first Dutch extreme metal bands featuring Jason Kohnen (Korsakov, Celestial Season, Orphanage, nowadays Bong Ra) with his charismatic extreme vocals.
BLUURGH recorded 2 demos, one e.p. and a full length in the late 80’s /early 90’s.
Their debut album ‘In My Embarce’ is now finally re-issued, this time under the ’new’ monicker ‘Suffer Within, 25 years of suffering’.
Bonus to the album comes the legendary ‘Suffer Within’ EP (1990), directly taken from one of the original EP’s, including the good old vinyl scratches to preserve the old school underground feeling.
The album is completely remasterd by Bong Ra ( = Jason Kohnen’s breakcore music stage / artist name these days).
Third album, third Papa Emeritus: GHOST managed to turn their third effort into a hypnotising masterpiece thriving on sabbath-esque proto-doom, pop melodies and rock anthems!
depressive black metal .It's what Burzum did best on Dunkelheit and what bands like Make A Change… Kill Yourself and Abyssic Hate excel at to varying degrees. Ömheten's debut album is explosive and, at times, mesmerising. From the opening screams of Det som släcker mig we are in a mid-paced unending soul-crushing hell. The leads on second track Själv are upliftingly morose and the prominent bass is more than welcome.

Six panels digipack.
Disco clamoroso!
(..) The musicianship is outstanding, and the vocal duties shared between growls & clean vocals perfectly compliments the sonic landscape painted here. So much thought and care has been put into making everything fit perfectly, and I don’t believe a single note, growl or solo is out of place on this album. Everything fits, and are keys to solving the enigma that Dystopia Nå is. For some this band may be a hard code to crack as they are a bit all over the place, but once you manage to catch a glimpse through the looking glass, this album will reward you tenfold.
For me personally this is a very sought after album, and in my book Dweller on the Threshold is the Norwegian album of the year.
