These songs revolve around the transformation from man to The Übermensch (German for "Overman, Overhuman, Superman, Superhuman), through the purification of the fire and the metaphor of the warrior, mainly taking inspiration from parts of Vijnanabhairava as well as personal experiences of meditation.
Fire is the main element manifested by Shiva, seen as a purifying factor and dissolving, regenerating and annihilating.
In this case also seen as the awakening of a burning and dissolving energy, which brings chaos and destroys the boundaries of mortality to reach immortality.
Ascolta su BandCamp
Composed of four EPs (Ingentes Atque Decorii Vexilliferi Apokalypsis, Evoco Bestias, Et Spiritus Meus Semper Sub Sanguinantibus Stellis Habitabit, and Fragmenta Cuinsvis Aetatis Contemporaneae) which were written and recorded between 2007 and 2017, this collection (which the band considers an album as opposed to a compilation) follows the band’s evolution and self-rediscovery across an uncertain time.
Saligia are a Norwegian black metal duo who released their debut Sic Transit Gloria Mundi in 2011, followed by the Lvx Aeternae EP in 2013. I enjoyed both of those releases immensely, so I was quite pleased to see that they had released a new full-length and leapt at my first opportunity to give this new one a spin. As soon as the first track started, I was quite perplexed as I wasn’t even sure that this was the same band. It would be a rather significant understatement if I were to say that this album is a departure from the haunting atmosphere that their previous works developed so well.

Fans of Wargasm know what to expect, as the unique Wargasm sound is clearly evident throughout the MANIAC demo! Three of the five songs recorded for this demo became instant classics when they were re-recorded for their classic "Why Play Around?" album in 1987; of the remaining two, one has never been re-recorded.. The CD will be mastered from the original 1/4" analog tapes for the best possible sound, and will be designed after the original 1985 demo, featuring elements from the original cover artwork and layout and painstaking attention to detail, even down to the logo and typeface for a touch of nostalgia. Also included are unpublished classic band photos, artwork, flyers and liner notes written by bassist/vocalist Bob Mayo. Additionally, a fold out 4 panel lyric insert / album cover mini poster will be included
