"I I", the aptly-titled and comprehensively majestic second album from BLOOD ABSCISSION fortifies the veiled project as a major new player in the increasingly overcrowded field of contemporary Black Metal.

While the sense of perpetual forward motion and cascades of opulent melodies from outstanding 2023 debut "I" remain, the band here raise their compositional acumen: balancing out eruptions of chaotic rage with mystical transcendent calm, increasing push/pull dynamics to elevate the physical and emotional weight of each piece, and delivering upgraded songcraft to pack an ever more affecting punch.

The five tracks comprising "I I" are a showcase for first-rate symphonic layering, riffing of multifaceted power, steamrolling rhythms, and sublimated vocal fury with a wider sweep of feelings than before. Produced with crystalline clarity for the ultimate drive, this is an elegiac, intoxicating and compulsive odyssey through unseen inner/outer universes.

Belnejoum” is a Symphonic Black Metal band that was founded by Mohamed Baligh "Qaswad", located in the United States. The band utilizes symphonic elements combined with oriental instruments (Naey) and traditional classical instruments like violin and cello but in a stronger flavor and a darker edition. Combined with the output of world class musicians from Nile, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Annihilator, a multi-instrumental producer and a Melisma singer. The band's output and sounds were mixed and mastered by world class producer “Fredrik Nordstrom”.

North Carolina’s ONE OF NINE play JRR Tolkien inspired majestic black metal and are the most prominent Tolkien/Lord Of The Rings black metal band since the legendary Summoning. Their sophomore LP Dawn of the Iron Shadow (out Oct 31 through Profound Lore Records) follows their 2023 debut LP Eternal Sorcery which laid the foundation for ONE OF NINE trodding their way to the forefront of the new breed of US black metal. With Dawn of the Iron Shadow (which is graced by cover art courtesy of legendary Tolkien artist Ted Nasmith), ONE OF NINE elevate their black metal sorcery to a more epic and glorious plateau. One that is more expanded in its vision of grandeur and scope through its symphonic and grandiloquent magnificence.

Belenos, celebrating its 30th anniversary in 2025, returns with the 10th studio recording  "Egor", meaning "space" in Breton. This album is the last part of a trilogy on the 3 elements among the Celts. It started with "Kornog" (2016), the water element, with mainly Breton legends about the sea, followed by "Argoat" (2019), the earth element, bringing together more varied themes linked to life on earth, and finally "Egor", the fire element, but the stellar fire seen on a large scale. It is composed of 12 tracks with 63 minutes playing time, the longest Belenos album recorded to date, still sung in Breton with only one short text in french. Musically, it is similar to Kornog and Chemins de Souffrance (2007), a mix of dark and melodic black metal with doom and death touches in the well-known Belenos style.

In a non-pop cultural, classic sense, the term 'shamanism' refers primarily to spiritual practices of indigenous Siberian peoples. Shamans interact with the spirit world through altered states of consciousness as protectors of their communities. On their album "Songs of the Shaman", NYTT LAND interpret traditional shamanic songs or spells of Siberia's Manchu–Tungus ethno-linguistic groups. These songs use ancient musical techniques such as throat singing and drums and they were recorded in their original language. The latter was done to preserve the power that lies in the sound and the phonetics as well as the rhythm of the texts. This collection of primordial magic in the shape of songs summoning spirits, incantations, and wards has been carefully selected and deliberately excludes spells that are aimed at causing harm. NYTT LAND came into being as a ritualistic Nordic folk band envisioned by the husband and wife duo Natalya and Anatoly Pakhalenko in the Western Siberian town Kalachinsk, on the banks of River Om and crossed by the Trans-Siberian Railway, in August 2013. Following three self-released albums, "Nytt Land" (2013), "Hávamál" (2015), and "Scopun: Songs from the Elder Edda" (2016), their label debut "Fimbulvinter" came out in 2017 and was followed by the 2018 full-length "Oðal". While NYTT LAND also continued to self-release albums, the Siberian elements in their music began to surface stronger than before on their third label full-length "Ritual". With "Songs of the Shaman", NYTT LAND take the ones willing to hear on a journey to a place in time and space where spirits rule and even gods fear to tread. Listen with caution!

Formed in 2003 in the southern province of Limburg, Netherlands, CARACH ANGREN have built an unshakable reputation for fusing black metal’s ferocity with the grandeur of symphonic arrangements and the drama of storytelling. Their work draws heavily from historical legends, ghost tales, and the macabre, creating immersive worlds within each release.
On ‘The Cult of Kariba’, the band return to the mythos that first defined their identity in 2008’s ‘Lammendam’, expanding it into darker, more elaborate territory. The new EP unfolds as a five-part horror tale rooted in the folklore of Schinveld’s White Lady, now entwined with the sinister figure of Kariba: a poisoner and alleged witch. Through haunting orchestration, blackened aggression, and cinematic scope, the listener witnesses an underground cult’s rituals, a brutal sacrifice, the resurrection of Kariba, and the catastrophic vengeance that follows. Each track builds on the previous, from the ominous opening “A Malevolent Force Stirs” to the apocalyptic closer “Venomous 1666”, where the witch claims the living for her grave.
Expertly produced and conceptually unified, ‘The Cult of Kariba’ is both a return to roots and a bold expansion of CARACH ANGREN’s narrative universe.
