Baltimore Maryland’s weirdo death thrash stalwarts NUCLEAR TOMB have spent the last decade sharpening their singular attack and get ready to riot with riffs and explode like a molotov with their debut full album "Terror Labyrinthian"! Taking cues from old school tech thrash and progressive death metal, Nuclear Tomb seem determined to prove that metal still strives in the underground and that these frameworks still have ambition and depth to give!
Formed in 2011, the Baltimore death thrash quartet draws from a wide pool of influences that manifest in sounds ranging from classic metal tropes to the limits of noisy punk experimentation. Focusing on dynamic songwriting and high energy, aggressive live shows, their dedication to DIY touring has earned them a reputation amongst fans looking for fellow heretics of the same faith.
After two self-released EP’s and a handful of east coast tours, Nuclear Tomb are unveiling their debut full length “Terror Labyrinthian” to be released by Everlasting Spew Records. Its emphasis on raw aggression, left-field ideation, and musical acrobatics is the antidote to increasingly reactionary and predictable trends in modern metal. Mind Thrashing Sonic Nightmares!

Building upon the symphonic Black Metal stylings of their masterful 2022 debut "The Ashen Abhorrence", enigmatic Finnish duo PESTILENT HEX return with second opus, "Sorceries of Sanguine & Shadow", to herald a new era of malevolent grandeur and melodic aggression.
The work of multi-instrumentalist L. Oathe (DESOLATE SHRINE, CONVOCATION, ORDINANCE) and vocalist/lyricist M. Malignant (CORPSESSED, TYRANNY, PROFETUS), "Sorceries of Sanguine & Shadow" is still primarily inspired by legendary '90s second wave Black Metal but diverges from the neoclassical and baroque undertones of the debut into more contemporary, complex and exquisitely labyrinthine realms.
Cinematic Black Metal project ERSHETU was formed in 2021 by conceptualist/lyricist Void and composer Sacr to explore formulations of Death within particular civilizations or religions.
After tackling Mayan mythology via evocative 2023 debut "Xibalba", new album "Yomi" finds the band – now featuring Vindsval (BLUT AUS NORD) on lead vocals - growing in confidence and stature, heading to deeper and darker climes as they immerse themselves in the death folklore of Japanese Shinto.
Composer Sacr has woven an aptly-dualistic tapestry where ritual percussion, orchestration and atmospherics - including tones derived from the Koto, Shamisen and other traditional musical instruments of Japan - meet full-throttle and cerebral Black Metal power, as earworm melodies resolve into tumultuous states of mind and shadowed existential meditations.
Standard edition. Comes with a 2-page insert and a download card. Pressed on transparent red heavy vinyl w/ black smoke.
Vafurlogi is rooted both spiritually and literally in the early 2000s black metal movement, as the earliest songs were written nearly twenty years ago. Like the stalwarts of that era, Vafurlogi draws inspiration not only from the staunch traditionalism of the ‘90s but also from its rebellious spirit of discovery and creation.
Fronted by guitarist Þórir Garðarsson of Sinmara and Svartidauði, who now also takes on vocal and bass duties, Vafurlogi presents a new chapter for him as a songwriter. Throughout years of activity with his other bands, the essence of Vafurlogi slowly cultivated in parallel below the surface. Initially a vessel for accumulated works not suitable for Svartidauði or Sinmara, Vafurlogi developed into an avenue for him to freely explore different creative ideas and moods. While touching on the apocalyptic, nightmarish realms of Svartidauði and the haunting atmospherics of Sinmara, Vafurlogi places greater emphasis on triumphant and unabashedly melodic flourishes through a comparatively stripped-down compositional approach.
In Vafurlogi, Þórir has joined forces with drummer Ragnar Sverrisson, a seasoned veteran of the underground metal scene, having played in various bands both in Iceland and abroad, such as Helfró, Ophidian I, Abyssal, and Valkyrja. After the album recordings, the lineup was reinforced with Eysteinn Orri Sigurðsson of Nyrst and Úlfúð on guitars and Samúel Ásgeirsson of Volcanova on bass. “Í vökulli áþján” was produced at the esteemed Studio Emissary by Stephen Lockhart of Rebirth of Nefast between 2020 and 2024, presenting songs written mostly between 2018 and 2020.
Vafurlogi is Icelandic for ‘flickering flame’, but the name can also be literally translated as ‘wandering light’ – and therein lies the key to the project’s thematic essence. Vafurlogi explores man’s incessant and despairing search for meaning and the ever-elusive sacred light while condemned to roam spiritual wastelands.

APTORIAN DEMON hail from Trondheim, Norway. They were founded by vocalist, guitarist and sole member Storhetsvanviddets Mester, who has also been known as Ghâsh. APTORIAN DEMON embody black metal in its original bleak and raw form. Their mastermind is neither apologetic about this, nor about the hateful, misanthropic, and satanic content. This is what black metal is about. Storhetsvanviddets Mester is a lone wolf, who does not want to be associated with previous bands or the Nidrosian scene. APTORIAN DEMON have previously released the EP "Angst, jammer og fortvilelse" in 2005 and the debut album "Libertus" (2012), which gained the band a dedicated following in the underground. Naturally, there are no social media outlets. APTORIAN DEMON have deigned the time to be right for their sophomore full-length. Entitled "Liv tar slutt" ('Life Ends'), this album keeps every 'promise' of a strong black metal statement made by the previous releases and will delight dark souls with its cold, harsh, and razor-edged songs. This is Norwegian black metal! Take it or leave it!
