Medival Black Metal act HELTEKVAD, - featuring members of Afsky, Solbrud, Sunken, and Morild
180g gold vinyl edition. 2nd press.
New mini-album from Poland's fast-rising KRYPTA NICESTWA, Sarkofagi nocnych zjaw, on single-sided 12" vinyl format. Although a relatively new entity, forming in 2018, KRYPTA NICESTWA have feverishly built a considerable canon across two demos and two splits. Across those short-lengths, the duo have duly displayed their geographical constitution, honoring their noble roots with a grim 'n' mystical sound that's poignantly Polish in a most mid-'90s manner. Now, with the four-song/21-minute mini-album Sarkofagi nocnych zjaw, KRYPTA NICESTWA transcend their prior work and strike upon a new sort of mastery. Still grim as ever, the duo's ruminations here are more restless and definitely more haunting, suggesting ghostly expanses in between their reverberating-through-the-night notes. Their black metal is melodic yet miserablist, devilish and delirium-inducing, hitting an absolute peak with the medieval, synth-led swell of "W sferze pzoagrobowego trwania," suggesting cobwebbed corridors they'll explore in the future. Prepare for the Celtic winter with KRYPTA NICESTWA's Sarkofagi nocnych zjaw!
140g vinyl, with double sided A4 insert, black poly line inner housed on 320g jackets, inside flooded in black, and PVC sleeve.

Long due split release.
Degredo represents the dark side of the rural autumn nights, while Cantos de Muerte is the silver snow of long winter nights that precede the dark and sad autumn human feelings.
Formed in 2019 by black/death metal activists of the Spanish underground, AWAKETH is an entity formed against nowadays black metal's relativism and open-minded "scene." Inspired by the activism of the '90s Nordic tradition, the Teutonic black metal fury, and the corrupted Les Légions Noires, AWAKETH open wounds again, going to the core, without artifice. Just black metal in its purest and dirtiest integrity, Luziferian activism through distorted sonority against black metal's democratization: NOT EVERYTHING GOES.
Compiling both of the band's demos to date plus two extra tracks, Awaketh indeed awakens atavistic energies; AWAKETH simply harnesses them, for they were always there. All songs here were recorded through a primitive process somewhere in the Galizian forests. Both demos were previously released on tape format by In Pulverem Mortis and Tour de Garde, respectively, during the cursed year of 2020. Adding the tracks "Nocturnal Lust" and "Burning Golgotha" recorded exclusively for this vinyl edition, AWAKETH re-opens those wounds when life couldn't get any worse.

Presenting the speed metal of Dungeon Steel, with an album that careens recklessly from its incongruously calming synth intro into five tracks of hi-octane riffs and rabid vocals, unleashed with wild, wide-eyed abandon. The work of three Ecuadorian artists behind some of recent years’ most excellent black metal and dungeon synth projects which we have featured on the channel, including Wampyric Rites and Avstral Forest – Eblis Destructor, Wampyric Strigoi, and Vrolok…. …meaning this project is not all uppers. The album is dedicated to the memory of Vrolok, who recently left this earthly realm. A sad loss for the South American scene, and for us all.
First vinyl edition of "The Darkness Between Stars", released in an edition of 300 copies. Black vinyl. Co-release with Vendetta Records and Hypnotic Dirge.

Having grown out of the Norwegian Death Metal band MORTEM, ARCTURUS emerged under the irresistible influence of Oslo's creatively bursting and fast rising underground black metal scene officially with the two-track 7" "My Angel" (1991). With then-guitarist and formidable keyboard player Sverd and MAYHEM drum-beast Hellhammer at its core, vocals were first contributed by Marius Vold, who also sang on the legendary THORNS demo "The Thule Tape". While still very much influenced by death metal, the addition of doom-laden slowness and eerie keyboards already pointed into a far blacker cosmos. On the four tracks of the original 1994 "Constellation" EP, ULVER's Garm had taken over the vocal duties and Samoth from EMPEROR had joined the band on guitar. Yet, ARCTURUS already went off the (in reality quite wide-ranged) black metal norms mainly due to Sverd's keyboard arrangements that were pre-shadowing the trademark theatrical or circus-like style the Norwegians adopted on their following albums.
Following their early EPs "My Angel" (1991) and "Constellation" (1994), ARCTURUS finally released their debut album "Aspera Hiems Symfonia" in 1996. The Norwegians derived their name from the brightest star of the Northern hemisphere and were obviously influenced by the massively expanding black metal scene of their homeland. Already featuring such well-known protagonists as ULVER's Garm and MAYHEM's Hellhammer, the line-up on "Aspera Hiems Symfonia" saw Samoth replaced by excellent guitarist Carl August Tidemann and outstanding ULVER bass player Hugh "Skoll" Mingay also joining the band. Despite their audible black roots, ARCTURUS clearly begged to differ by daring to experiment and adding an avant-garde twist with strange sonorous vocals complementing those piercing shrieks, Sverd's cinematic keyboards, the technical guitar solos, and more elements that to this day mark the band from Oslo as progressive innovators.

Definitely the most unusual release in the whole Sivyj Yar’s discography with Novgorod gusli being the main instrument.
The artist defines this album as 'neo-medieval nocturnes' and dedicates it to Yuri Mirolyubov (1892-1970), the discoverer (well, most likely, the Author) of the mysterious 'Book of Veles', literally the main influence on the Eastern European paganism revival.
