Moonlight Sorcery is a Finnish black metal trio formed in early 2018. The band’s black metal is a symphonic and melodic variety by nature. Inspired by many black metal classics as well as classic heavy metal and melodic death metal, the band indeed has a huge palette of influences, which is directly reflected in the versatility of the song material.

Piercing Through the Frozen Eternity, the band first EP, was worked on as the icy winds blew and winter did its magic. In all the peace and quiet. The silver-saturated nights of the moon rushed to the melodies that breathe sorrow and the eternal majesty of the cold stars.

Black metallers LUCIFER'S CHILD and MYSTIFIER have partnered up for a Greco-Brazilian split release on Agonia Records.

George Emmanuel (ex-Rotting Christ), who co-launched LUCIFER'S CHILD in 2013, commented: "After almost a year and half of isolation and profound research, we gave birth to a new seed of evil, 'Under Satan's Wrath'. This deep rooted journey contains three new songs from each band, with some special revelations where conspiracies between Mystifier and Lucifer's Child divulge. A further step beyond the borders of safety, a further step into the abyss where our freedom to craft and sculpt our sound liberates."

On behalf of MYSTIFIER, whose been around since 1989, founder Beelzeebubth commented: "It's a pleasure taking part on this monunental split EP with our Greek comrades. It was the right moment to reveal our new band members: Kaverna on lead guitar and Apophys on drums. We met George during a long European tour in 2016. Nice to see him conquer the world with Lucifer's Child. Hope in the next days, after this pandemic lockdown, we can share the stage together again."

Its mesmerizing mysticism sounds utterly ancient, yet doesn't nod too conspicuously nor too often to any '90s touchstones. From its regal gait to the hypnotic usage of synth, the one-man KERASFÓRA evokes forgotten realms and vast vistas of wonder, locked into a dream state that's equally liberating and frightening. As such, Denn die Todten reiten schnell is both grim and gorgeous, fully within the realm of raw black metal but evincing a view that aims for the Beyond - and well beyond it.
