Established by two girls from the Dresden area, Satyra and Melpomene, both heavily involved in
the rich local underground, ALTAR OV ASTERIA was envisioned and formed through its members'
shared influence of black metal. The goal of the band's material, embodied in their "Éna" debut, is to
balance visceral energy with enveloping atmosphere and dark melody, creating a sound both
rooted in black metal tradition and expansive new avantgarde sounds.
"Imagine you would wake up in a world full of mysteries and realities woven into each other, like in a
story book of the past centuries of Dante Alighieri or Homer. Two black-robed mysteries in
gold-snake masks wake you up from the heavy dorm with blackened sirens crushing your ears,

One with the Riverbed is a five-piece post-metal band from Kalamazoo, Michigan. Since forming in 2017, the band has strived to push the boundaries of the genre by incorporating elements of atmospheric black metal with dissonant textures and dynamic shifts. Succumb, the band's second full-length album, shows the band embracing their core musical identity while venturing into previously unexplored realms. With a distinct fusion of haunting melodies, visceral riffs, and enveloping soundscapes, the album is a testament to One with the Riverbed's continuous sonic evolution. Lyrical themes include nostalgia, temporality, and the human condition.

controversia legale per l’uso del nome, il cantante 
Bartłomiej “Варфоломей” Krysiuk ha rinominato la 
band Patriarkh e manda alle stampe quello che può 
essere considerato il nuovo album dei Batushka ed il 
primo lavoro su etichetta Napalm Records. Senza ombra 
di dubbio, i Patriarkh sono uno dei gruppi più eccitanti 
dell'attuale scena EXTREME METAL e sono ora più che 
pronti a portare la loro essenza di BLACK METAL arcano 
che fa tremare le ossa! Con otto composizioni nuove, 
l'album porta l'ascoltatore nel mondo di Eliasz Klimowicz, 
il profeta Ilja, un contadino analfabeta che fu il leader 
della setta ortodossa Grzybowska. I Patriarkh diffondono 
il loro vangelo con un arsenale di strumenti FOLK, come 
tagelharpa, mandolino, mandocello, ghironda e dulcimer

“Never Arrive, Never Return” marks a return to Cadaverous Condition‘s ferocious death metal roots. The album is a relentless assault on the senses, featuring a mix of epic tracks alongside haunting half-ballads, brutal eruptions and groove-laden songs interwoven with the band’s signature cryptic lyrics, all delivered with crisp production.
Formed in Austria during the early 90s, Cadaverous Condition carved a unique path in extreme metal. While their vocals remained rooted in death metal, they experimented with diverse influences, covering artists like The Sisters of Mercy and collaborating with acts like Nurse With Wound, Thighpaulsandra, Tobias Nathaniel (The Black Heart Procession) and Herr Lounge Corps. They also did an art project with Bill Drummond (The KLF) involving a specially made CD and sending a message in a bottle from the shores of Iceland. Despite these explorations, Cadaverous Condition never strayed from their core: extreme metal with a distinct and reflective style. They return in 2024 with “Never Arrive, Never Return“, a fitting title for a band known for their relentless sonic journey.

For those who know and truly understand actual underground black metal, Mons Veneris require no introduction. For over 20 years now, this shadowy and insanely prolific Portuguese cabal have pursued a uniquely vile vision with an unquenchable thirst. From hammering primitivism to medieval melancholy, volcanic drone to chaotic oblivion, nods to the French Black Legions to frequencies far outside of metal, there's never any guarantee of how Mons Veneris' vision will manifest itself - only that they'll explore a darkness few have the constitution to tread.

Witness their Ascent Into Draconian Abyss, which was teasingly released in an extremely limited tape version for those who had the good fortune of attending the most recent Signal Rex-curated Invicta Requiem Mass festival and witnessing their crimes in the flesh. As the duo forecasted with the recent maxi-single Excesses of Perpetual Gloom, their muse only becomes thirstier and more miserable. Mons Veneris are always surprising, yet always uncompromising and always themselves, as testified by Ascent Into Draconian Abyss: the opening 20-minute title track is a harrowing descent into lunacy, and the ghoulishness only intensifies on the album's successive three tracks. More monkish vokills come forth, haunting like nothing else as their buzzing belligerence winds through craggy corridors of mondo-primitivism, all before the hall-of-mirrors madness of closer "Chant to the Unknown." This project continues its path in bringing this specific Slavic black metal concept, now devoid of synthesisers that were present in Gerzolth's earlier works. Such absence pushes the guitars and vocals to the forefront, resulting in a harsher and more aggressive black metal experience. This shift creates a sense of untamed ferocity, characteristic of this genre's untamed side.

Gerzolth's aesthetic draws clear influence from the legendary BlazeBirth Hall scene, known for its frigid and bleak atmospheres. The album art also bears a striking resemblance to the cover of Krahnholm's latest release, further solidifying their connection to this style of black metal."
