The follow up “Rave the Abyss”, released in 1995, shows a couple of small changes, generally the pace is upgraded to more midtempo, with parts incorporating slower Thrash riffs (think Dead Head/Slayer), but still following Beyond Belief’s path of heaviness and doom. One could say the Trouble feel is still there, but more aggresive. Berthus Westerhuis is the producer of choice, giving the album a tighter, crunchier sound.Once more a full on Masterpiece, and another unique album to much critical aclaim.

...It is the early 90’s, Death Metal’s finest years are celebrated, the genre is young, fresh and inventive. And the Dutch scene is reaching its pinnacle, one band after the other gets signed and releases classic albums. Together with the U.S.-scene, the U.K.-scene and the Swedish scene the Dutch reign supreme. And when everyone decides to go faster and more brutal, there is always the exception to go against the stream.
 

The Dark Red Seed is the musical outlet of Tosten Larson, guitarist for Seattle dark folk musician King Dude. A self-coined 'metaphor for the heart', The Dark Red Seed represents a direct reference to life – and death – itself. The duo, which also includes King Dude engineer Shawn Flemming, is now about to release its debut EP, "The Dark Red Seed Stands with Death".

Described as 'a study of death', "The Dark Red Seed Stands with Death" is a dark, dusty discourse on the departure and ultimate dissolution of life; a powerful expression of absolute loss shaped through Larson's haunting, Cash-like delivery. Each of the EP's three songs represents various aspects of death (the death of America, death of culture and death of reality through technology and globalization), drawing on deep feelings and unanswered questions to create living, breathing sound.

Sweden's October Tide was the project formed by Katatonia members Jonas Renkse and Fredrik Norrman in 1995, with much of the material being written during a period of inactivity for their main band.

Grey Dawn was October Tide's second album, originally released in 1999.

Presented for the first time on vinyl, an additional CD copy is included.
 

Burial Oath incorporate ingredients from beyond the vale of black metal, and while the dominant melodic currents in the album are dark and often sorrowing, they very effectively change the moods and the intensity of the music so that the album maintains a firm grip from start to finish.

the instrumental performances on the album are quite accomplished, with a warm bass pulse that’s prominent in the mix and impressive drum work to complete the rhythm section, and a knack for crafting guitar melodies and riffs that are both memorable and headbang-worthy.
