LIFVSLEDA was spawned to earthly existence with the aim to recapture the old feeling of early Nordic black metal - a scene the members, in one way or another and in various constellations, have been involved with since its glorious beginning. With a strong fascination with death and the magic of memento mori, they summon the spirits of old, unleashing four songs of death-worshiping Swedish black metal. Recorded on broken instruments, literally out in the wild, surrounded by the Swedish woods and a creeping darkness, you can feel the rotten stench and presence of something great that once was.

Rotting Christ formed in 1988. The band's early demo recordings contained Grindcore elements that quickly evolved into something altogether darker. Spearheaded by brothers Sakis and Themis Tolis, Rotting Christ have remained one of the most respected forces in the Black Metal scene since their debut release Passage To Arcturo. The band's legacy was cemented further by the genre classic follow-up Thy Mighty Contract. 

Passage To Arcturo was the band’s debut studio offering and was originally released in 1991. Featuring a lo-fi raw take on Black Metal, Rotting Christ also masterfully wove some of their trademark atmosphere and sombre melodies with occult themes to create something altogether unique for the time, with the band over the years becoming one of the enduring premier staples of the whole Black Metal genre.

On ‘Kosmocide’, the band stretches their musical influences even further than before, drawing inspirations from classic Black Metal acts, whilst still being able to maintain the ‘Deus Mortem-sound’ we’ve come to know over the years. Its epic, its aggressive, lightning fast as well as dynamic and structured, the album displays worldclass musicianship, crowned with masterful production by M./Mgla and stunning artworks by Artem Grigoryev and Ihasan Art. ‘Kosmocide’ is an esoteric journey, through tragedies, death and destruction of universal laws – straight to the womb of the raging Chaos.
