Apparebat Eidolon Senex speaks of anger, resignation and misfortune. A glimpse into the smoldering ruins of temples and oceans filled with corpses. Of haunting spirits and mad gods. Just like ...ni degu fazentz escumergamënt e mesorga..., Apparebat Eidolon Senex was recorded in the Chapel of the Wanderers on old and unpredictable equipment during days and nights of storms and torment.

Three years after The Necrotrophic Abyss, Australian one-man band Snorlax is back to wreak havoc.

Brendan Auld’s signature style, blending death metal with an oppressive and obscure black metal vibe takes a turn towards the lands of grindcore, both musically and conceptually.

Toxic Current is the new studio album by the multi-instrumentalist from Brisbane, and it comes with two covers from Australian grind and hardcore bands, Agents Of Abhorrence and The Fevered. To those familiar with Auld’s work, particularly Snorlax, these influences have always been part of his art, but never to such a clear extent. 

It’s been six long years since Sojourner released their latest album, Premonitions. Since then, a lot has happened: the band went through lineup changes, signed back to Avantgarde Music and sort of spent a good portion of these years resting, building up ideas and inspiration for what had to come next.

 Gateways is the result of such rest, a collection of seven new tracks, including “Epitaphs”, the digital-only single released in late 2024. And let’s just say that Sojourner is back at full force. The signature sound that made Mike Lamb and Emilio Crespo’s band stand out since their beginnings, over a decade ago, is still there and now taken to new heights.

 Sojourner’s dreamy, folky atmopsheres are still here, now with the powerful addition of Heike Langhan’s (ex-Draconian, Remina) beautiful vocals. At the same, Gateways doesn’t spare speed and fury, with fast up-tempos and monolithic riffs.

 As guitarist and songwriter Mike Lamb states, “Gateways is a labour of love written over the last few years of outward silence, harnessing the soul of everything we've done before while carrying the band forward toward new horizons and opening the way for what comes next.”

 Sojourner’s fourth studio album will be released via Avantgarde Music on CD and LP on July 10th, 2026, right on time to support the band’s first three live gigs after years of absence from the stage.

Gli Alberi are an Atmospheric Post-Metal band formed in Turin in 2012. Their lyrics explore themes such as nature, spirituality, environmental issues, and the end of the world. They have released two albums: The Glimpse (2017) and Reinhold (2022); this last one being a concept album about the Messner brothers' ascent of Nanga Parbat.

“Maturafine” is their third record and is a concept album about deserts: the desert as an arid place, but also as a place without man, even if populated by different forms of life. Deserts of prayer, of temptation, of loss—such as the Rub' Al-Khali, the "Empty Quarter" of the world; the Australian desert, with its myths of the Dreamtime; or the Kazakh desert, with its fishing boats lying motionless on the dried-up bed of the Aral Sea. These are ecosystems that we have transformed and plundered, adapting them to our idea of civilization. Over all of them blow the same sands and the same warning: the time is ripe—the end looms over us.

Musically, it is a long journey through various genres such as Doom, Post-Rock, and Blackgaze, in a world where synths and arrangements based on both Rock and Metal take the listener through a meaningful and touching path. Female, male and extreme vocals will be your guides.

After the previous acclaimed EP "Stryx Strega Strygae", the Blackened Heavy Metal hex STREGA opens a new chapter of the Arrakyan saga: "Mors Mortiys Morte".

With this three-songs new EP, STREGA furthermore sharpens its dark, blackened classic Heavy Metal flair. With a stylistically enhanced 80's Metal core and Goblin-inspired keyboards sections, this new record enhances both epicness and theatricality in STREGA's music, unfolding its character, attitude and atmosphere. Refined song's structures, style-changing vocals, rhythmic variations, quality classic Heavy Metal riffing and enigmatic yet technical keyboards sections are key points in STREGA's style, whose mix of influnces outline a unique formula.

With their seventh full-length, "Death Doom Punks", ARROGANZ deliver exactly what the title promises: the brutality of old school death metal meets the attitude and unpolished directness of punk. This album pulls no punches and hits straight into the gut and face. The German trio has amplified 15 years of experience into a record that comes with their trademark sound but is confident and mature both in songwriting and storytelling. On "Death Doom Punks", ARROGANZ are never afraid to let their influences shine through as they obviously made them their own. Driven by a heavy pumping bass and relentlessly whipped drum skins, the trio stacks massive riffs on top of each other and finishes any remaining resistance off with a barrage of deep-throated growls. Whatever ARROGANZ are doing, it always comes out at 100% while never forgetting the original roots in old school death metal. The trio's unwillingness to compromise has been hailed by many and earned them the hate of others - about which they do not give the slightest… as authenticity and honesty in every aspect are their key traits. With ARROGANZ what you see and hear is what you get, and "Death Doom Punks" is not just the album title but also a declaration of allegiance and intent. Get on board, bang your head, slam and rage - or get out!

Now the next abomination crawls into the light. ORACLE OF WORMS’ debut full-length, “Cult of Suffering”, is a scorched-earth manifesto of rot and rage. a relentless onslaught of Swe-Death chainsaw riffing, morbid melodies, and apocalyptic intensity. From the first blast beat to the last guttural growl, this is old-school death metal carved from the bones of the Scandinavian masters, with a venomous injection of blackened atmosphere and crust-infused aggression.

Recorded, mixed, and mastered by Simeon Lauber at The RedTape Company, “Cult of Suffering” pays homage to HM-2 Death Metal while leaving its own mark on the modern underground. For the cover artwork, the Berlin-based artist and tattooist Alvar Baptist brings his dark, striking vision to life. The cult is rising, the plague spreads, and the suffering has just begun.
