! The follow up to minimalist black metal weirdos BOSSE-DE-NAGE’s self titled debut. This album was recorded in 2010 by JUSTIN WEIS and features a HUGE sound along with the Lousiville-styled post rock (think Slint not Godspeed) and black metal weirdness that made Bosse-de-Nage’s debut a divisive genre defying classic. This is black metal, but black metal tinged with 20th century minimalism and outlandish vocals.
• Debut release from the long running and influential blackgaze project from the San Francisco Bay Area

Here, in the blood’s inferno…
in the bitterness of each cell…
in the shudder of your nerves…
QRIXKUOR surface once more to bring the crepuscular whispers of 2021’s Poison Palinopsia LP and 2022’s Zoetrope EP to a roaring, terrifying and triumphant crowning crescendo with their 2nd full-length album, entitled The Womb of the World, to be released on Friday 7th November by Invictus Productions in Europe and Dark Descent Records in the USA.
Once again recorded, mixed and mastered on familiar ground at Priory Recording Studios in Birmingham, England by Greg Chandler (ESOTERIC) and emblazoned with a much-expanded outer and inner gatefold piece by Zoetrope artist-extraordinaire Santiago Caruso (as well as additional insert art contributed by Nuno Zuki), The Womb of the World further defies the dogmas of death and black metal by dragging them deeper still into the depths of textural and timbral delirium, more so than its predecessors even dared fathom, augmented throughout its 4 chapters by the sinistrous siren song of The Orchestra of the Silent Stars. The venomous tongues of guest-contributor slithering serendipity herself Jaded fucking Lungs (ADORIOR) maniacally guide And You Shall Know Perdition As Your Shrine into the album’s eponymous climax, a tumultuous ending in fire certain to be the apotheosis of QRIXKUOR’s vision to date.
The Womb of the World is the echo of time tearing itself apart, a dauntless deliverance of dissolution. Perhaps now the seas can be still at last…

Like the barbaric grunt of the beast chewing upon traditional Black metal then spewing forth the ‘UGH’ soul of Celtic Frost with a murky bile of down tempo doom and primeval hypnotic drum battery followed by the gnashing of teeth, bristling of fur and strike of tail true to Black metal’s savage, aggressive, obscurity.
In the secluded wilderness of northeastern Finland, a solitary journey has taken shape. Sielue, the latest endeavour of multi-instrumentalist Janne Posti (Häxkapell, Sons of Crom), marks a profound return to his musical roots, as he steps beyond his metal and classical foundations to explore the realm of dark acoustic folk.
“Askel tyhjyyteen” (‘A Step Into Emptiness’) is a collection of diverse songs woven together by themes of life and death. Drawing on his classical training in piano, vocals, composition, and arrangement, Janne crafts intricate melodies where acoustic guitar and piano take centre stage.
The album captures the desolation and solitude of the wilderness surrounding Posti’s family cabin, embodying autumn winds, dense fog, and the haunting resonance of a freezing lake – the ‘singing ice’ recorded shortly after his initial writing session on All Hallow’s Eve in 2022. Song structures range from traditional verse-chorus formats to linear compositions, reflecting Janne’s eclectic musical background across metal, rock, pop, jazz, folk, and classical genres.
“Askel tyhjyyteen” is more than an album; it is a personal testament and a spiritual journey. It invites listeners to embrace the longing for another plane of existence and the beauty found in the acceptance of mortality. In stepping into emptiness, Sielue embarks on a journey that doesn’t end at the grave but begins there – into the winds of the cosmos, guided by swans through a portal to a place of peace and fulfilment
